The best way to go is by turning to natural gas as an alternative source of energy for our transport sector. In fact, there are many countries, including Nigeria that must embrace this economic necessity provided we work harder, be productive and innovative.

“On transportation, I was listening to the yearnings of ordinary Nigerians lately. We are committed to changing this narrative in this country; and I commend Innoson Motors amongst others.

“If we can become more competitive in terms of energy and make such transformative changes, we will achieve prosperity for our people.”

He also said that similar steps had been taken by other nations such as India where CNG vehicles have been used in commercial transport since 2004.

“In Nigeria about 80% of our petrol demand comes from commercial vehicles which costs us trillions of naira every month. The answer lies here. We have it; we will work on it. Things will get better; prosperity shall be achieved.”
