If the Nigerian police will detain their president, Comrade Joe Ajaero, the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress has threatened to down tools across the country.

The union headquarters is where this threat was given on a Tuesday morning after an emergency meeting of its National Executive Council to discuss the invitation of NLC President by the police over allegations of terrorism financing.

However, NEC decided that Ajaero should go and honor that invitation but further advised that their legal advisor must ask for more time for him in order to appear before those police authorities.

In case contrary to expectations, Ajaero is detained by them; Comrade Ado Kabiru Sani who is the Deputy President of NLC thereby enjoined workers in the country to be ready as they await any other directive from them.
