Dangote Refinery to buy crude from Libya and Angola amidst Nigeria supply challenges

Dangote Refinery has said that it is looking to import crude oil from Libya and Angola in the face of a supply shortage in Nigeria.
The Vice President of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), Devakumar Edwin, revealed this during an interview with Reuters on Sunday.
Edwin mentioned that besides Libya and Angola, it would also seek other African nations for raw materials to boost its factory production.
We are trying to arrange for a few barrels of crude from Libya.
We will talk to Angola too plus some other countries in Africa,” Edwin told Reuters.
This comes after the company had requested for crude oil from the US as well as Brazil.
It should be remembered that the Dangote refinery was recently discussed in Nigerian media following a statement by Farouk Ahmed, CEO of Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, stating that their products were substandard.
